
ACENUB Communications Lead Visits Mozambique
Cooperation between universities in areas of research, staff exchanges, and joint academic programmes is an important undertaking.
Assistant Registrar (Public Relations and International Affairs) Cliff Kawanga visited Eduardo Mondlane University in Mozambique from 16-30 November, 2023.
During the exchange visit, Cliff has shared his knowledge on the effectiveness of marketing and communication strategies in attracting international students.
He also visited Regional Centre of Excellence in Engineering and Technology, and Gas Studies. His engagement focussed on use of communication in sustaining the centres of excellence, stakeholder engagement strategies and possible areas of cooperation between Eduardo Mondlane University and Mzuzu University.
Mzuzu University (MZUNI) Strategic Plan’s Pillar 4 is Internationalisation and Cooperation which aims at strengthening the global knowledge and ability to interconnect.
Through the African Centre of Excellence in Neglected and Underutilised Biodiversity (ACENUB), members of staff have engaged in exchange programmes with regional universities.
ACENUB was established to strengthen linkages with local, regional and international universities, agriculture knowledge institutions and agro-based industry in agri-food system skills development in Africa.
