Evance Makolija is the head of the Department of Hospitality Management at Mzuzu University, with extensive industry and academic experience.
Biography
Evance Makolija is a lecturer in the department of hospitality management in the faculty of tourism, hospitality, and management at Mzuzu University. He holds a Master of International Business (MIB) in Food & Beverage and Restaurant Management obtained from Swiss Hotel Management School (SHMS) in Switzerland, and a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management obtained from Mzuzu University, Malawi. Evance has extensive experience in the management of hospitality business, having worked in the industry in higher positions before joining Mzuzu University as an academician. Currently, Evance is the head of hospitality management.
Areas of Specialisation
Evance Makolija specializes in food and beverage management, restaurant management, institutional food service management, hospitality facilities management, and food and beverage control systems.
Areas of Research Interest
Evance’s areas of research interest include sustainable food and beverage management, service quality, and customer service.
